DEATH
THE BEGINNING,
By Tatiana Elmanovich. An archetypal story of rebuilding a
shattered life into a journey of spiritual awakening. Emotionally
challenged escape from the Soviet Union and survival struggles in
the US lead to spirit communication. Now she can hear Spirit RETELLING
her story and proving her responsible for her worst challenges. The
acceptance of this shocking discovery puts meaning back in her life.

WHAT IS SPIRIT COMMUNICATION?
Instead of writing a theoretical paper, Tanika (Tatyana Elmanovich) tells
a true, life-changing story of spirit communication, that helped her to
overcome her doubts regarding mediumship and channeling.
In 1998 I applied for U.S. citizenship,
passed the test, and interview, and was told to go home and wait for the
invitation to attend the swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, my unmarried
son graduated as an architect. Ten days after graduation he got a new
job and in the blink of an eye, he bought his first house, a fixer upper.
We moved to that house. I asked the post office to forward my mail to
my new address.
Soon, being consumed by daily duties,
I wrote and published and marketed my first book in English, Death
the Beginning, and helped to supervise the remodeling of my son's
house. And needless to say, as a result of this pressure, I failed to
notice that I hadn't heard from the Los Angeles Downtown Immigration and
Naturalization Office for quite a while. One night, at 3 am, I heard a
voice, "Get up and go downtown immediately -- check on the status of your
citizenship application." I recognized the voice of my guide who had died
at age 89 in Los Angeles. Let's call him J.C. The voice was strong and
clear, and very persuasive. Literally, this voice did not let me fall
asleep again. I resisted it in every possible way managing to doze off
until 5 am. Then I took a quick shower and started toward downtown LA.
At 8 am I was at the door of the
Immigration and Naturalization building in downtown Los Angeles. It was
April 1, 1999. The officer said, "You are late. All the tickets are gone.
Tomorrow morning be here at 5 o'clock sharp." While driving from downtown
back home to Costa Mesa in Orange County, I muttered, "Look, it is April
First, the Day of the Fools, and you made a fool out of me today. Thank
you very much!" But as I drove home in an hour and a half, it gave me
plenty of time to cool down and the entire story was forgotten and forgiven.
But the next night, J.C.'s voice woke me up again. And again it was 3
am. The voice spoke to me. J.C. convinced me to drive to LA again -- this
time immediately, and to put on something decent. Of course, I did not,
and later had good reason to regret it...
Now I arrived downtown at 5 am.
Let's skip the story about of how I dug deep into that line, kept my spot
for hours, and advanced from that initial line to the next one, and then
to another one. Finally, at 10 am, I was facing the official, an Asian
lady and asked her to check on my application status. She typed my name
into her computer, and her Asian eyes became rounder than mine! "What
are you doing here!" she exclaimed. Now it was my turn to be surprised.
Before I could find the proper words, she continued, "In two hours from
now you are on! Where is your invitation? Today is your day to take the
oath." It meant that the invitation had been lost in the mail. A new invitation
was written in an instant, and I was sent on my way to the nearby Civic
Center. It was crowded there. Everybody was dressed up but me. Of course,
I had been told to put on something decent. Why didn't I follow J.C.'s
advice? But the crowd continued to grow, and soon it really did not matter
what I was wearing. It was important to be here in time… and not to allow
my papers to slip off onto that giant assembly line that was pushing us
toward the needed and wanted citizenship status. If I missed the ceremony,
everything would be delayed for years because of the volume of cases.
There were five thousand of us…
The speeches, the music, the film, the oath! And then we were told to
pick up our citizenship certificates and later exchange them for real
passports in designated offices that were scattered all over town. Under
the big letter "E" sat a little lady with a high pile of golden certificates
in front of her. I couldn't imagine that my certificate would be one of
them. Approaching the official's table I could barely control the trembling
in my hands. But I was asked to submit my "green card" in exchange for
a new document of my citizenship. I did, almost sure that all that was
happening was a dream and what was coming would be a rude awakening. I
would be told that it was a mistake…
But it wasn't. A hand held out a
calligraphic certificate. Golden letters proved that from this day, I,
Tatyana Elmanovich would be a citizen of the United States! I wanted to
thank J.C. but his voice was nowhere to be heard. I got my papers, and
I believe -- he got his rest. I guess he had to use up an unusual amount
of energy to make me believe and trust his obvious words. If we could
only learn to reach our higher self with its wonderful connections to
our guides, other entities and maybe even God himself! If we can only
learn to listen and trust!
COMMENTS: WHAT TO DO, IF SPIRIT GIVES
DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE SAME EVENT?
Every medium hopes that the facilitated
by him or her spirit messages make sense. Every medium hopes that his
spirit prophecies will be fulfilled. Every medium believes that facilitated
evidences confirm the spirit communicator's identity, and speak about
life eternal. And they definitely do. But spirit communication is a complex
process and it is always a possibility that a message from the spirit
world makes no sense at all, and the prophecy doesn't come true, and evidences
may be shaky. It has divided us into two opposing groups -- believers
and nonbelievers. The latter are also divided into two groups -- well-grounded
and independent-minded folk who count on their common sense, and passionate
skeptics who label Spiritualism as an unconscious self-deception or a
fraud built to rake money.
What's new? Since the dawn of humanity,
a believer and a nonbeliever walk hand-in-hand through the millenniums
straight into our days. It has been a long journey, probably too long
for taking sides and proving one side right and the other side wrong.
Maybe, instead, it is time for a change. Maybe it is time to try to understand
what really happens during spirit communication, and what it really does.
Of course, we may reduce research to counting hits and misses in the process
of communication, but the problem is that a particular number of hits
and misses doesn't tell much. There will be always some hits and misses.
Maybe the camp of believers has to change. For instance, instead of trying
to prove that every 'transaction' with the other world is a success, commit
to self-observation and value hits and misses equally, and learn from
both. For instance, both spirit communicators Marlene Dietrich and Myrna
Loy tell two different stories of their transition.
One explanation is that I was a
poor facilitator at a receiving point. Another explanation is that there
were things that both communicators prefer not to recall yet. Another
explanation is that they are not aware what really happened, and they
don't want to look into this. And maybe there are things that we are not
ready to hear, accept or learn And there are more questions and contradictions.
According to Myrna Loy, Elvis Presley will reincarnate in Russia, and
"do fine in that country." According to Elvis Presley, next time he will
come down to Italy and become the next Enrico Caruso. It is very easy
to cross out what Myrna Loy was saying and stick with Presley's version.
I was almost ready to erase an uncomfortable paragraph, and proceed, but
something stopped me. Wait a minute…
Why are Elvis Presley's Russian
counterpart, Vladimir Vissotski and Elvis Presley 'spending time together'
on the other side according to one Elvis Presley's message that is still
not posted to the site? Are they meeting on a cross road of the souls?
Many advanced souls from the former Soviet Union and present Russia who
managed to do their work under the ideological pressure and control of
the Communist regime, or in present chaos, will be reincarnated "in the
better climatic conditions;" and many advanced West souls with strength
and stamina will come back in future Russia when the time will be right
to resume life in that part of the world. What if both versions are right,
and Elvis Presley's boundless soul will incarnate to Russia and Italy
… at a time.
Why is Vladimir Vissotski calling
him 'Shalyapin's illegitimate son?' [Feodor Shalyapin (1873-1938) was
the Russian operatic bass; he left the Bolshevik's Russia for the West
and became the best-known singer-actor of his time.] I was quite puzzled
by this line in a Vissotski's channeled poem dedicated to Elvis Presley.
But if there is a chance of the Russian incarnation, the saying "Shalyapin's
illegitimate son" makes total sense. So, I found four or more different
explanations for contradicting data, but I have no idea, which one is
right? Now I have to choose which way to go? Do I have to clean The Bridge
books from contradictions? Or do I have to keep the contradicting versions?
You already know my answer. I will take my chances. Spiritualism and Shamanism
Is Spiritualism the modern branch (and a very weak one) of 50,000 year
old Shamanism, or not?
Shamanism left behind a healthy,
beautiful planet. Judeo-Christian spirit lifted us to the unheard of heights
of mental sophistication and technical progress, but in some meager 2,000
years we ruined our home, planet Earth! In other words, we doomed our
planet Earth to death, but we don't want to die together with our planet.
And we try to extract the best from our past experience and make it work
for us in some modern and acceptable form. No doubt, Spiritualism is a
find of that search. It seeks the lost integrity of the human soul, and
as Shamanism, lends the strength from the other worlds -- underworld,
the kingdom of the dead, the next world, the other side, heaven, paradise,
the higher dimensions of existence. Does it make Spiritualism a grand-grand-grand-son
of Shamanism? I don't know yet. But when I will be through with writing
The Bridge, I hope I will know more about it.
