STARS and LIFE

Esperanza Spalding performing on December 10, 2009 at the Nobel Prize Concert of 2009.

Today is February 14, and astrologers predict a quiet and nice and cozy Valentine Day. People will hear and understand each other…

(A compilation of various opinions suitable for “stars and life” page started by Tatyana E. in order to educate people to recognize how astrology works in real life. )

However, I am tempted to comment on Grammy events on CBC, Sunday, February 13.
… Many astrologers ( I was not an exception) saw an unusually sharp change of mood developing during the day: it promised to start in “all-will-be-OK” mood, but go ugly at evening.  And it, sure, did! To the extent that made journalists reach for pens about behind-the-scene’s happenings at Grammy Awards. On the Internet, on can read the following: It was a huge surprise, when “Grammy winner for Best New Artist, a 26-year-old jazz bassist (…) beat out the seemingly unstoppable Justin Bieber. And that would be Esperanza Spalding–an enormously talented artist whose style and skills are musical first, and–unlike many of her predecessors–by no means intentionally commercial. It’s just working out that way. (…) One faction that WASN’T feeling so lucky were the Beliebers, aka Justin Bieber fanatics, who were so incensed over Justin’s perceived snub that they attacked Esperanza’s Wikipedia page, spamming it with outraged insults. Example post: “Justin Bieber deserved it go die in a hole. Who the heck are you anyway?” Justin himself admitted to MTV News that he was “disappointed,” but as the adorable video above (sorry, cannot bring video here, but yes, it showed that Justin Bieber could take the beating, and we have him for a long time on our TV screens – T.E. ) demonstrates, he was a much better sport about everything than his fans were.”

So, the nasty happened! But something else happened: in times when stars mark the periods of great decay and cleansing (as it happens right now and will last to the April 2011), when the heap of decay has been removed, on the bottom, there are often found something real as diamonds are.

Other Internet sources (like Wikipedia) say: “Esperanza Spalding (born 1984) is an American multi-instrumentalist known as a jazz bassist and singer. Spalding says she loves fusion music. She was influenced by a “wonderful arc that started 40 years ago where people kept incorporating modern sounds into their music.”

Spalding, who has expressed a desire to be judged for her musicianship rather than her sex appeal, believes that female musicians must take responsibility to avoid oversexualizing themselves, and that in order to write original music, one must read and stay informed about the world. She has said she models her career on those of Madonna and Ornette Coleman.”

As a former film critic from a little country Estonia, where I was 30 years in the saddle, and had seen it all, please, allow me to add that in the SUN, there is always room for a talent. It is not a talent that kills another talent, but  stupid competitions harm talented people, because they equalize the artistic performance with sport competitions.  It is done in order to create a spectacular show, and sell it successfully over the world … Do not take awards too seriously, this is not worth it!  All what matters is lifting audience’s vibes during performance, bring listeners happiness…  And for hte fans — be happy for promotion a deserving but less known artist, as it makes his/her life easier!  There is  plenty space in the Sun to all the talented artists in the entire world!

About Tanika

My name is Tanika. I am a writer. As a medium myself I write about afterlife, spirit communication, mediums and mediumship, spirit healers and spirit healing. The mystery of afterlife is fascinating. Lately the dangerous and everything but easy topic of mental thought forms, group spirits and egregores had literally swallowed me, and I continue working on it. For friends I do astrology as well. In the land I am from I was a pro film critic over three decades. Here I decided that they can go on without me, to be a film critic for the formula fiction movies was not my cup of tea. I started here at 55 penneless and with zero English on my lips. Today I am 76 and the author of 4 books in English that you can find on my bookstore page. I could do much better, but when you learn, costly mistakes are inecitable, still, I think, God had mercy on me!
