The Impersonators
T: In 1999 I received the following message from Elvis Presley.
EP: —This is I, the king of love and exaggeration. I started to sing again after prolonged, backbreaking work in the rehab hospitals we have here for people crossing over in the drugged out state I was in. Now I am free to sing, but I have to wipe away all these terrible images of my impersonators that pop up around me like Halloween monsters. I have to deal with that crap!
I am looking for someone to help me stop a swamping flow of these cheap, horrible images. They are caricatures of me. My impersonators want to get in touch with fame by imitating me. What a lack of taste! What a frustration!
T: On July 2, 2001, I had a session with an internationally renowned medium and teacher Robert Brown. During that memorable session, Elvis Presley came through to Robert. Robert expressed his opinion about the Presley impersonators’ movement: “None of the celebrities like the impersonators, but they keep their images alive. Elvis likes those who try to be true to him. There will always be good and bad impersonators. The ones who do it just for money are horrible. Elvis says his impersonators are holding him close to earth… I do feel that he is doing quite humbling work in the spirit world.” Soon after the session with Robert Brown, I had a chance to ask Elvis Presley again if his feelings had changed towards his impersonators.
EP: —No. I haven’t changed my mind about the impersonators. There is no need to keep my image alive. I am preparing for my next life on earth and don’t need these caricatures of me invading and polluting my personal space. Walking around in my ‘costume’ is the same as violating a stranger’s privacy by driving through the glass door into the stranger’s living room, smashing into the fireplace, and letting the car explode there. If you owned that house, how would you feel about that intruder? This is what I think of them.
I added emphasis to the above answer because years later, in 2009, in a non related spirit message from Ruth Montgomery, I got some insight into the image of exploding cars in a person’s living room.

How Spirit Communication Works
Ruth Montgomery from Spirit World: —Mental mediumship depends 100 percent on mental thought forms. The exchange of information through thought forms is the basis of spirit communication. Please reread Harry Edwards’ work about mediumship. I found that book in your head. Now you will understand what Edwards was talking about. Regrettably, I cannot speak to you directly, as I would like to! We exist on different planes. You are on earth, and I am not. I have finished my transition from the astral plane to the mental state — not the lowest state, but not the highest one either. It is the state for people like me who spent most of their time on earth writing.
If you send your search signals into space, I see them as little explosions of light — like Christmas sparklers! The spirit communication starts with the conscious and most often unconscious evocation of a particular spirit. You turn to us consciously when you are a professional, like a true shaman or magician or medium who performs in public. But if you are grieving for a person, you think about your deceased loved one more often than usual. People also think often about outstanding personalities who left their mark on the world like writers, composers, and other famous folk. People think of them while reading books, listening to music, looking at paintings, and watching classic films.
In the spirit world, it makes no difference whether your call is conscious or unconscious. For us it is all the same. You think about the dead and we see our images literally fly out of your head — like trains from a dark tunnel bursting into an open space filled with light! For example, if you think of me, it is like a ball of thread starting to unravel. If you intensify the search, it is as if you have struck a match and touched the end of the thread with the flame. Now the fire runs along the unraveling thread, burning it! (One may call it burning an Adrian thread.) When the flame finally reaches my consciousness, I perceive it as a powerful explosion and we are connected. I send out a thought form like “What the hell is going on here, why won’t this person on earth leave me alone?” Then I remember that this is you and that was me, who asked you to disturb me from time to time.
Now you feed me, and for you I will appear as a little thought form of myself. It doesn’t matter who you are talking to — to me, or to an egregore (a powerful thought form), or to a saint, or to God — it is always the same: a ball of thread begins to unravel and the result depends on the intensity of your wish to reach God or his archangels or a spirit like myself.
Sometimes, the thread can be quite sticky, as if the ball was dropped into sugary water. You as a medium have to get over the sticky part. How? You clean it with your desire to talk to me and trust that you are reaching out to me, and not to some shell of mine, which regrettably is also floating around…
The proof or confirmation of my identity is a good and necessary part of the process. I can get quite a bit of stuff out of your head to prove my identity… It all depends on your sincerity and the purity of your intention. Go deeper, as you did when you were working with Vysotsky. You took for proof the right things. Instead of settling for smaller coincidences, you sought out details connected to his work as a poet, stage actor, and film actor. You dealt with details that you did not know, and that his fans, sitters, and people around you did not know either. So spirit wasn’t able to fish them out of your mind, or out of the minds of your friends. Vysotsky’s world was far too complex for random spirits to imitate him. Keep searching for confirmations in this direction. I will think about what to give you in the future, if we happen to work together.
